Legacy Scholarships

Many students would not be able to attend Dance Maker Academy, or study dance at all, if not for tuition scholarship opportunities. The number of scholarship applicants continues to rise every semester. To address these needs, Dance Maker launched the Legacy Scholarship Fund to provide sustainable funding for these need-based tuition scholarships.

How it works

While some sponsors donate an entire scholarship, others choose to cover expenses or tuition partially, and others prefer to make a one-time gift. Whatever amount a sponsor gives, you have the option to designate your gift go to a specific student’s tuition and fees, otherwise it goes to the general scholarship fund and awarded as needed.

Scholarship donations (like any other donation) can be made in by check or credit card, can be paid in a lump sum or as a monthly recurring gift, and are of course tax deductible.

When a dancer is awarded a scholarship, they sign a student commitment contract, agreeing to the highest standards of attendance and behavior. While students on scholarship are aware of the scholarship, the donor and student are anonymous to each other.

Below is an example tuition and fees for a dancer to take class for the school year (September through May excluding school holidays and snow days).
