Basic Stage Make-Up: Step by Step
Begin with a clean face, and moisturize thoroughly
Apply foundation—be sure to blend the foundation well down onto the neck and even at times onto the collarbone—also on ears! Follow with the translucent powder to set the foundation and then brush away the excess
Apply blush along the cheekbones and on the apples of the cheeks, apply a small amount of blush around the hairline to add color
Using the bronzer, create a small shadow line directly underneath blush, along the underside of the jaw bone and down along the collarbone
Using a white eye shadow or white eye pencil apply a highlighter line along the top of the blush line and directly underneath the eyebrows, and just above the shadow line underneath the jaw bone
With the white eye shadow or liner create a base covering the eyelid from lash line to brow line and extend out towards temples as far as your eyebrows extend
Using brown eye shadow, fill in from lash line to crease, extend out past the brow bone slightly creating a “cat eye” type look. You can add a darker accent color in the crease if you’d like.
Using eyeliner, draw a line along top lashes and extend out or slightly up almost as far as the brows (this opens the eyes up). Create a line underneath the bottom lashes extending almost straight out and slightly less far than the top line
Use a brow pencil to darken and fill in and extend brows if needed
Apply fake eyelashes (apply glue to the eyelash; allow to dry for a few seconds; then attach along the lash line, starting on the inside edge closest to the nose, adjust as you move outward
Apply mascara
Apply lip liner just outside the line of the lips
Apply lipstick, then powder to keep from smearing and to set
